Project Description

This project focuses on creating a geolocational mobile app where parents or anyone with young children can search for kid-friendly places, activities, and events in their area that prioritize sustainability and environmental friendliness. This project aims to build an app that has search by listing, map, and date functionality for users to find businesses near them, such as retail shops, activity centers, museums, restaurants, playgrounds, classes, events, and more, that are verified as sustainable and eco-friendly by GENkids due to mission, product, service, or other aspect, or certified as sustainable and eco-friendly by a reputable third-party sustainability ranking organization. GENkids also verified users access to a like-minded community through connection and exploring user generated content such as recommendations, posts, and invitations to local meet-ups or events. The app can be monetized by advertisers who sponsor their local business or online listings.
